As Production Resource Manager, you will play a crucial role in keeping everything on track—from staffing and scheduling to cost control. Your role will be to ensure the right people are in place, manage budgets and workflows and provide pastoral support to the team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Allocate teams to projects based on production needs and manage day-to-day scheduling for the production department, ensuring balanced workloads and realistic timelines.
  2. Oversee timesheet tracking and budget management schedules to ensure productions stay on time and within budget.
  3. Lead freelance recruitment and manage the freelance talent pool.
  4. Provide support, mentorship and training for junior team members.
  5. Line manage runners and production assistants, ensuring they receive appropriate training and development opportunities.
  6. Review production budgets and assist with budget checking processes.

About you:

  1. A seasoned production professional with strong organisational and financial skills.
  2. Confident managing scheduling, resourcing and budgets across multiple projects.
  3. Demonstrated experience in budgeting and scheduling within the media or production sector.
  4. A calm, mature decision-maker who isn't fazed by stepping in when needed.
  5. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Experience in team management, including mentoring and performance reviews.
  7. Knowledge of production scheduling software (e.g., Forecast) and timesheet tracking tools (e.g., Harvest) is a plus.

Note this is an office-based role initially, with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000. In time the role will become hybrid.
