About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Wincanton, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Planning Supervisor to join their team on a permanent contract.

This is a key role where the successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of operators to produce high-quality products while meeting productivity and cost-efficiency targets.

Responsibilities

The Production Planning Supervisor will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing production in the main factory ensuring that there is sufficient componentry and manpower.
2. Monitoring raw materials, packaging, labels, bags, and other consumables required for production.
3. Carrying out monthly stock take of raw materials and packaging.
4. Overseeing booking in of all relevant goods into the factory.
5. Production forecasting and monitoring of daily output for both production departments.
6. Quality control of all production.
7. Overseeing recycling.
8. Liaising with the site Manager regarding machine outages.
9. Learning all machine processes in detail.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Proven experience within the manufacturing sector and in leadership roles.
2. A strong understanding of Health & Safety policies.
3. Excellent timekeeping skills.
4. A commitment to quality and a proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
5. Computer literate and confident with using stock management/inventory software to ensure the efficient flow of materials and smooth production processes.
