Job Description

Production Planning Manager role in Leeds suitable for a self-starter with good systems and process knowledge.

Client Details: I'm currently working in partnership with a highly successful Leeds based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of engineered products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally. This leading UK business has experienced impressive growth in recent years due to their innovation, agility, and an ambition to succeed and are looking for a like-minded Production Planning Manager to join their team.

Description: The Production Planning Manager will have responsibility for:

  1. Ownership of the production plan and its implementation
  2. Working with engineering to ensure drawings are available for production
  3. Liaising with customers on status of orders
  4. Working closely with purchasing to ensure all materials are available for production
  5. Creating standard operating procedures for the department
  6. Organising dispatch of orders both within the UK and internationally
  7. Promoting a culture focused on continuous improvement
  8. Developing a small team of employees, focused on driving success in the department

Profile: Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background and a proven ability in implementing systems and processes. You will also have:

  1. A demonstrable background in manufacturing and leadership
  2. A working knowledge of production planning and optimisation
  3. A solid foundation in production processes and workflows
  4. Ability to problem-solve and think creatively
  5. A determination to succeed and improve
  6. Ability to liaise with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  7. Strong H&S mindset and proven ability to balance HSEQ with output

Job Offer: £45k + wider package

4 and half day work week with early finish on a Friday
