Job Opportunity: Production Planning Engineer
Location: Stansted
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (15 months)

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for project management in aviation? Our client is seeking a dedicated Production Planning Engineer to join their Technical Services team!

About the Role:

As a Production Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing maintenance and modification projects, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be the vital link between customers and the technical team, delivering tailored work packages that meet client needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage complex aircraft maintenance and modification projects, keeping the critical path intact.
  2. Communicate professionally with customers to ensure clarity on maintenance input planning.
  3. Produce detailed work packages, identifying required access, spares, tooling, and manpower.
  4. Coordinate with third-party vendors and Part-21 Design Organisations to support modification requests.
  5. Chair internal meetings to align with commercial, engineering, and logistics departments.
  6. Provide daily updates on project progress to customers during maintenance.
  7. Identify and resolve critical path issues proactively.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in aviation maintenance or project management within engineering.
  2. Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, MS Project) and experience with Wings ERP or similar.
  3. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively.
  4. Rigorous, self-motivated, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
