Job description

This Fresh Food Company with production facilities in multiple countries is looking for a Production Planner to be based at their Northampton offices in the UK.

Offering a starting salary of between £28-30k. This role is a full-time office-based role spread over 4 days, working (Sunday to Wednesday).

The Supply Chain / Production Planner will ideally have a background of planning multiple ingredients to make a product. A previous planning background from Food/Desserts/Ready meals/Sandwiches/Salads/Fruit etc. would be ideal.

Role Description

This role would fulfill an integral role within the Production planning team and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to get involved in several projects and activities.

  1. To communicate fully and efficiently with all customers and colleagues, both within the UK and internationally, on supply chain issues.
  2. Collate orders and allocate to sites using site planners and customer-specific stock sheets.
  3. Advising production sites of final figures.
  4. To advise on airspace required to transport goods.
  5. Working collaboratively with production teams (UK and abroad).
  6. Advise production sites on any amendments required to airfreight for immediate use and in the short term.
  7. Address and problem solve issues affecting production and customer orders.
  8. To escalate unresolved issues to Line manager.
  9. To forecast customer needs for the short term, using both customer data and own judgement.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and an excellent communicator, able to interact with global teams and stakeholders at varying levels within the business. Experience in a Production Planning / Supply chain role is highly desirable.
