Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Newtownabbey

Start Date: March 25

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (7:25am - 4:55pm, with a 30-minute lunch break)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Newtownabbey. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Machine Operation: Operate production machinery efficiently and safely.
2. Cable Loom Assembly: Assemble cable looms to specified standards.
3. Mechanical Assembly: Perform mechanical assembly tasks as required.
4. Software Replication: Assist in software replication processes.
5. Kit Building: Build kits according to production schedules and quality standards.
6. Packing: Pack finished products for distribution.
7. LEAN Manufacturing Programs: Participate in LEAN Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
8. Portfolio Management: Work across multiple portfolios to meet production targets.
9. Output Targets: Take ownership of hourly output targets and ensure they are met.
10. Other Duties: Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the production team.
11. General Tidiness/Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy work area.

Desirable Requirements

1. Production Environment Experience: Previous experience working in a production environment.
2. Electronic Equipment Experience: Experience working with production electronic equipment.
3. PCBA Experience: Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
4. PC Literacy: PC literate with ECDL or equivalent certification desirable.
5. Good Dexterity: Strong manual dexterity.
6. Quick Learner: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
7. Process Adherence: Ability to follow work instructions and adhere strictly to processes.

Hourly Rate: £11.75
