Job description

Great Job Opportunity for a Production Operator

We have an opening for a Production Operator at our PVC manufacturing facility in Burlington, NJ. We offer great benefits and time off.

Second Shift – 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Full-Time with Required Overtime.

Overtime earning potential: All hours over 40 hours are paid at time and half. Double-time premium for working more than 12 hours in a 24-hour period.

Shift Differential: $1.20/hr. for second shift and, if filling in for third shift, shift differential is $1.35/hr.

SALARY:

Position: Production Operator

New Hire Rate: $21.00/hr.

Qualified Rate: $22.00/hr.

12 Month Rate: $24.00/hr.

24 Month Rate: $28.68/hr.

Job Summary: The Production Operator assists co-workers in starting line production. They have the responsibility to sustain continuous mill operation. The Production Operator at the bagger area has responsibility for controlling the line operation from the dicer through packaging and preparing for storage of finished product.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two years’ experience in manufacturing. Having compound experience is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions with aptitude in working with mathematical numbers.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on all in-process quality inspections of product.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to understand mechanics of machinery and use of scales.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the plant.
  • Must be able to promote and encourage teamwork.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to read production schedules, scale checks, and charting up close and at a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to record data in a manner that is legible to others.
