8 x Production Operatives - Waste Recycling - Leyland Preston. Start 24 February 2025. Temporary to Permanent Positions. Weekly Pay. £12.60 per hour. 37.5 Hours per Week.

Production Operative positions available to join Lancashire Council's Waste Recycling Team at their operation based in Leyland, Preston. You do not require previous experience to apply.

These positions are available to start on Mon 24th February 2025 and initially are offered on a 13 week temp basis with the option of permanent employment following a satisfactory probation period.

Pay:£12.60 per hour.

Overtime Monday to Saturday paid at £18.90 per hour for hours worked over 37.5 hours and £25.20 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours:

8am - 4pm for first week's training and then weekly rotating 06:15 - 14:15 and 14:00 - 22:00 Mon - Fri shift pattern.

Location:Leyland - PR26

JOB ROLE:

• Perform on-site waste processing.
• Sorting waste from a conveyor that could cause blockages.
• Housekeeping and general cleaning of your work area.
• Providing hands-on support as required for all business functions of waste processing operations.
• Maintaining health and safety around the site.
• Ability to work in an environment with odours, dust, and dirt.
