Job description

About The Role

As a Production Operative, you will play an integral part in our production team, working across various lines within the factory. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with processes involved in packing and processing locally sourced milk products. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Summary

Days worked: Monday - Saturday

Hours: 37.5 hours, five shifts per week

Start Times: 0600, 1400

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate machinery to pack products.
  2. Prepare finished products for distribution.
  3. Maintain high hygiene and quality standards.
  4. Communicate issues promptly to the supervisory team.
  5. Ensure adherence to company procedures and health and safety standards.
  6. Fulfil additional duties as required by management.
Essential Skills
  1. Attention to detail for accuracy and precision.
  2. Good numeracy skills.
  3. Strong team player with effective communication skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, can-do attitude.
  5. Flexible and capable of working varying shifts.
  6. Commitment to achieving Level 2 Food Safety certification.
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience in the dairy or food production sector.
  2. Knowledge of food production and hygiene practices.
Physical Requirements
This is an active role involving manual handling. Due to food hygiene regulations, only a single solid wedding band is permitted; no earrings, bracelets, necklaces, makeup, or strong-scented products.

Note: Applicants must have their own transportation or live within walking/cycling distance, as public transport does not align with shift times.
