Production Operative

Production Operator
Newark, 37.5 hours per week
3 rotating shifts, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am
£13.40 per hour

Driving license preferred due to location.

Our award-winning, forward-thinking client is looking for a number of Production Operators to join their well-established team in Newark.

Our client is a market leader in their area of expertise within manufacturing of bespoke products for multiple industries.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Production Operator will include:

• Maintaining production equipment to a high standard.
• Ensuring all health and safety requirements including PPE are adhered to whilst working on site.
• Following product specifications and producing relevant documentation once the product is completed.
• Opening product moulds, removing product, setting up, and closing product moulds to the required specification.
• Trimming and finishing products to a high standard.
• Operating the assigned machinery.
• Locating and using any raw materials required.
• Keeping workspace and general area clean and tidy to avoid hazards.
• Working proactively during downtime and supporting team members.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Production Operator will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

• Previous manufacturing background is desirable.
• A high level of attention to detail is important.
• Operating hand tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• A satisfactory level of Maths and English is essential.
• Time management skills are needed for the role.
