THE ROLE
We’re recruiting candidates with previous experience as a Production Operative for our client based in the Ashton-Under-Lyne area that specializes in manufacturing soft furnishings. Candidates can work Monday to Friday either fixed morning shifts, 6 am – 2 pm, or afternoon shifts, 2 pm – 10 pm. The Production Operative role involves operating various machines to manufacture the soft furnishings and packing finished goods from the conveyor belt. The role can also involve warehouse operative duties like picking, packing, loading, and unloading trailers with deliveries and dispatch.

THE PERSON
A successful Production Operative will have previous experience working in a similar environment or in production with machine operation. Candidates should be comfortable with learning new skills to operate the machines and manufacture the products. The role involves daily targets; therefore, it is beneficial if the successful candidate has previous experience working towards targets and KPIs to ensure the operation runs smoothly and reaches its targets.
