Production Manager
Production Manager - Edinburgh - £45,000 DOE

The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager / Trainee Production Manager to join a well-established farming operation. Based in Newbridge, Edinburgh, and reporting to the Head of Farming Operations, the successful candidate will oversee and manage both Company and Contract Farms across Scotland and the North of England. As a key member of the Production Management Team, you will play a vital role in driving excellence and ensuring the highest standards in farm production.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting regular farm visits to support and manage engagement with Company and Contract Farms
  2. Working closely with farm teams to maintain top-tier biosecurity and bird welfare standards
  3. Analysing production data, providing insights, and identifying areas for improvement
  4. Diagnosing and resolving production challenges to ensure birds reach their full genetic potential
  5. Facilitating the smooth movement of high-quality fertile hatching eggs through the supply chain
  6. Identifying efficiency improvements, preparing business cases, and securing capital investment for strategic enhancements

  4. Possesses exceptional communication skills, adaptable to both individual and group settings
  5. Has strong data management and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
