Production Manager
£60,000 - £65,000 per annum

The role:
We are exclusively supporting our client to recruit a data driven Production Manager to lead a 26-person team and ensure smooth, efficient operations. The company operates within the heavy industry sector and is part of a global organisation who offer scope for personal development and progression. The role has become available due to company expansion followed by significant investment to the Wrexham site.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

Production
· Liaise with the Materials Manager & Commercial team to agree on a production schedule.
· Manage the production process in line with the production schedule and quality standards.
· Monitor the production process, productivity, standards, and quality.
· Manage cost & budgets for production including staffing and material, resource & energy usage.

Management

  • Collate and analyse data related to production activities.
  • Assess resource requirements.
  • Supervise and engage direct reports and support them doing the same with their teams.
  • Set goals and review performance of direct reports and support them doing the same with their teams.
  • Consult with colleagues to ensure training is provided where required.
  • Liaise with colleagues to set & achieve company targets.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, implementation, and management activities of the plant.
  • Collaboration across the business unit.

The Candidate:
The successfully appointed Production Manager will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Background in production management, operations, continuous improvement, and H&S.
  • Confident with analytics.
  • Demonstrable excellent leadership.
  • The ability to optimise production to get maximum output.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be useful but not essential.
  • H&S qualification would be useful.
  • Some on call work will be required due to the continual 24/7 production process.
