Job description

Production Manager

Wigan

Monday - Friday - 8am to 4pm

£45,000 to £50,000 DOE

My client, a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team.

Production Manager Requirements:

  1. Experience of managing direct reports
  2. Background in manufacturing, chemicals (preferred)
  3. 5S and lean manufacturing experience and knowledge
  4. NEBOSH or IOSH qualified

Production Manager Duties:
  1. Oversee day-to-day running of the plant alongside the Operations Manager
  2. Generate monthly reports showing statistical data for the senior leadership team on manufacturing performance
  3. Ensure that the production plan is achieved and identify where bottlenecks or delays occur
  4. Optimise production performance by analysing processes alongside wider support teams and devising suggestions on process improvement
  5. Manage the production supervisors' day-to-day activities and provide support to indirect reports
  6. Provide guidance and assistance on production-related queries
  7. Ensure health and safety guidelines are spearheaded and adhered to
  8. Challenge and promote a continuous improvement environment
  9. Review SOPs and guidance procedures to ensure they remain current
  10. Ensure that quality occurrences are reviewed in a timely manner and corrective and preventative actions are implemented
  11. Additional duties not yet listed above at the discretion of the Operations Manager or Directors.
