Job description

My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to employ an experienced Production Manager to bolster their established team in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in Production Management, will have ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 experience, will have knowledge and experience of Chemical manufacturing and will be based within a commutable distance of Wigan.

Production Manager Position Overview

1. Overseeing day to day running of the Chemical Plant alongside Operations Management
2. Generating monthly reports on manufacturing performance
3. Ensuring production plans are achieved and identifying any bottlenecks
4. Optimising production performance by analysing processes alongside supporting teams
5. Providing guidance and assistance on production queries
6. Challenge and promote a continuous improvement environment
7. Ensuring quality occurrences are reviewed in a timely manner and corrective actions are implemented

Production Manager Position Requirements

1. Degree qualified in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
2. Previous proven experience in team management Essential
3. Experienced with ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 highly advantageous
4. NEBOSH or IOSH Qualified essential
5. Previous experience in Chemical Manufacturing
6. 5S and Lean Manufacturing experience essential
7. Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Production Manager Position Remuneration

Salary £45,000 - £50,000 DOE
Monday - Friday, 35 hours a week
33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
