Our client in the Birmingham area is looking for a new Production Manager to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Organise and oversee all aspects of production to meet operational targets.
  • Understand customer requirements and adjust production schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with and improvement of company health and safety standards.
  • Manage personnel requirements to meet production needs effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance production KPIs.
  • Align working hours with production demands to ensure efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage tooling requirements to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new products and processes.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules for plant and equipment and participate in technical/maintenance meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Production Director and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, including experience operating in a 'Kanban & Just-in-Time' environment.
  • Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Highly organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Computer literate with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and the ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
  • Flexibility in tasks and duties to ensure adequate cover when required.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
