Production Manager

We are looking to recruit a dynamic 'Production Manager' to take full responsibility of our production facility in Telford. The position is a senior role within our business and critical to maintaining our strong reputation with customers and delivering our agreed objectives. As the company is moving into a new era of production facilitation and expansion, we need a hands-on proactive individual to cover a vast spread of tasks, duties, and responsibilities, be flexible and adaptable to suit the required development.

Responsibilities of a Production Manager:

1. You will be reporting directly to our Operations Manager.
2. Responsible for the health and safety and smooth running of the production process, shopfloor, stores, despatch and outside areas.
3. Operating in accordance with the ISO9001, ISO14001 framework.
4. Daily planning with shopfloor team-leaders to maintain and improve our performance output.
5. Operating within budget.
6. Organise and coordinate with the supply-chain, internal sales, and stores to maximise flow of materials.
7. Use performance indicators to achieve objectives and promote improvements.
8. Train and develop staff.
9. Review non-conformances and support audit actions.
10. Responsible for the upkeep and condition of machinery, tools and equipment in areas of responsibility.
11. Ensuring waste is reduced within our factory processes.
12. Establishing and maintaining an effective productionisation process for new and updated products.

Skills and qualifications required of a Production Manager:

1. Experience of managing a production facility.
2. Full comprehension of production process is essential.
3. Highly accountable and responsible for safeguarding the factory operation.
4. Good at problem-solving, decision-making, time-management and have organisational skills.
5. Leadership and supervision ability, strong at communication and a personable temperament.
6. Ability to be decisive and work effectively under pressure.
7. Energetic person with ability to remain positive and adept at multi-tasking.
8. Team player who takes ownership of individual tasks and challenges.
9. Have exceptional attention to detail and able to identify a solution.
10. Adaptable to situations, remain flexible and handle a variety of tasks.
