An established industry player is seeking a Production Manager to lead a dynamic team in optimizing production processes. A day in the life of the Production Manager is to manage the day-to-day and strategic operations of the production area using the Fortive Business System, with responsibility for producing product to defined quality standards at the minimum feasible cost.
The role offers significant levels of flexibility in the day to day schedule, allowing the ideal candidate to define their own schedule, set production priorities and optimize processes as they see fit.
Responsibilities:
The Team:
You will directly manage 2 new Production Team Leaders, giving the ideal candidate the opportunity to develop a fresh team within Fluke.
Your wider team will include ~15 production operators, working within the manufacturing cells. The whole team are from diverse backgrounds and previous roles, giving the team an excellent distribution of new ideas, concepts and attitudes.
Experience:
Prior experience with team leadership is essential, as you will manage a large, diverse production team responsible for revenue. Any disruption to the team can have significant implications to customer delivery and revenue.
Prior lean production experience is highly desirable, to take a leading role at Fluke in optimizing the factory for lean processes and cost reduction.
Experience working in a technically complex environment (electronics manufacturing or repair for example) would be a huge benefit.
