Job description

Oxford Scientific Films are looking for an experienced Production Manager to work on an exciting documentary for Channel 4.


The role will be 3 or 4 days per week. At least three days must be working from our central London office, although some part-time working from home is acceptable.


The ideal candidate must have at least five PM credits, ideally with at least one with Channel 4. They must be very experienced in compliance, health & safety, duty of care and be comfortable working as part of a small team.


The PM would be:

  1. Managing and forecasting budget
  2. Overseeing and setting up complex shoots, simultaneously, alongside coordinator
  3. Working with editorial teams to plan and schedule shoots in the most cost-effective way
  4. Flagging any foreseeable issues with schedule/costs and working with HOP to rectify the problem
  5. Hiring & contracting crew - UK & international
  6. Managing a coordinator
  7. Writing risk assessments & managing health and safety alongside HOP
  8. Overseeing and submitting paper deliverables
  9. Liaising with contributors
