Job description

Our client, a leading ready to eat food brand (the UK's fastest growing in what they do!) are currently seeking a dynamic and hard-working Production Manager to join their site based in Leicester.


Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day Production of a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning, coordinating and controlling all the steps in the production process to make sure products are delivered on time and within the budget.
  2. Overseeing manufacturing and production processes.
  3. Affectively managing a circa of 40 production staff.
  4. Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules.
  5. Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  6. Plan and schedule production activities, allocating resources effectively to meet demand while minimising waste and downtime.
  7. Manage production budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing the use of materials and resources.
  8. Maintaining high hygiene standards for both employees and the factory.
  9. Implementing all the company's procedures and policies.
  10. Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management.
  11. Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control.
  12. Training and coaching Factory operatives.
  13. Implementing safety, health, environment, and quality requirements.

About You:

  1. Proven experience in a management/supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
  3. Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality control standards, and health & safety regulations (HACCP, BRC, etc.).
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

The working hours for this role are Sunday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm.


The salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 DOE. Benefits include free car park, company pension, and private healthcare.
