Job description

The One Group are pleased to be working with a leading provider of Gears and Gearboxes to a range of sectors in Hertfordshire who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be joining a growing business who are seeking a self-motivated team player who has a strong presence and knows how to get the best out of a production function. You will have the opportunity to work with cell leaders to improve machine time efficiencies to push the work through the shop floor.

The day to day duties include:

1. Lead and motivate a team of production staff to achieve production goals
2. Regularly review production processes and equipment to ensure they align with industry best practices.
3. Generate regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
4. Develop manufacturing plans and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards

What we are looking for:

1. Production Management experience within a precision engineering/gear manufacturing environment
2. The ability to deploy lean manufacturing techniques to improve production performance
3. Strong communicator who is developed in building teams who strive to be the best they can
4. Proficient in the use of production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
