Job description

An established and forward-thinking manufacturing company in Rochdale is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to take ownership of factory operations and drive efficiency across a fast-paced, complex production environment.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing people, processes, and performance to deliver a robust production plan within budget. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in continuous manufacturing, strong lean manufacturing knowledge, and a passion for identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce waste and boost productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health and safety of all personnel within the factory.
• Maximise production efficiency to meet daily and hourly targets.
• Monitor departmental performance using relevant KPIs.
• Manage, motivate and develop a multi-skilled team through training, appraisals, and performance reviews.
• Maintain and enhance systems and procedures across departments.
• Promote best practices in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the factory.
• Actively participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

• A proven track record in a continuous manufacturing environment at Production Manager level or above.
