Production Manager

Production Manager required to join a well-established leading sub-contract precision engineering company, specializing in precision-manufactured components for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and defence. The Production Manager will oversee the entire production process within our precision engineering facility. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations to ensure that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and costs are controlled.

Production Manager Position Overview

1. Production Planning - Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
2. Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled machinists, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
3. Process Optimization - Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
4. Quality Control - Ensure that all products meet strict quality standards, coordinating with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues.
5. Health & Safety - Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
6. Cost Management - Monitor and control production costs, working to reduce overheads and improve profitability while maintaining product quality.

Production Manager Position Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the precision engineering or manufacturing industry.
2. Technical Skills - Strong understanding of CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and other precision engineering technologies.
3. Leadership - Proven experience in leading and managing a production team, with strong people management skills.
4. Problem-Solving - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively.
5. Communication - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
6. Attention to Detail - High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Production Manager Position Remuneration

1. Full time - Permanent position
2. Monday to Friday
3. Salary - £33,000 - £36,000 (DOE)
