Production Manager

WSR are looking for a Production Manager to join the team of our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.

Location: Milton Keynes

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 4:30pm. 3:30pm finish on a Friday

Reports To: Operations Director

Production Manager Job Overview

As the Production Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the manufacturing processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and factory. You will lead a team of supervisors and factory staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, guaranteeing the accurate and timely production and shipment of goods. Your role is crucial in maintaining high standards and continuous improvement within the manufacturing domain.

Production Manager Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Lead the production team to ensure efficient operations and flexible working practices.
• Process Optimization: Manage production flow using LEAN principles to maximize efficiency.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure all orders are produced and dispatched on time and in full.
• Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet high standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production processes.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to maintain accurate stock levels, avoiding excess inventory.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring all statutory inspections are completed on time.
• Quality Management: Uphold ISO:9001 standards in the quality management system.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure prompt and accurate handling of goods in and out to meet customer expectations.
• Capacity Planning: Plan and scale production capacity to align with projected business growth.
• Team Recruitment & Development: Recruit, onboard, and manage the performance of team members.

Production Manager Key Competencies
