Production Manager

Shifts: 4 on 4 off - 6am - 6pm
Location: Birmingham

Production Manager - Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for leading HSE compliance, including overall area-specific Zero Harm Boards and Risk Reduction activities.
• Accountable for Zero Defects Programs, including process control, standard work, and reduced variation for the plant.
• Lead, motivate, and engage with Production Shift Managers, Production Team Leaders, and Production Operators through effective communication, team briefings, and regular interaction on the shop floor.
• Develop and implement effective systems for improving internal and external quality, cost improvements, and on-time delivery to customer requirements.
• Manage the performance of direct reports and other team members, including annual appraisal, performance management, and identifying development opportunities.
• Work with Human Resources on people management issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance-related issues.

• Strong background in heavy manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership skills, comfortable dealing with all levels of a business.
• Experienced in owning and delivering continuous improvement projects.
• Experience managing budgets.
