Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Lead to join our Coventry site. This role will be responsible for one of our fastest growing sites.

As a Production Lead, here’s an idea of what you will be doing:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the production area, ensuring efficient output in line with delivery, quality, and safety expectations.
• Plan and coordinate shift activities to maintain optimal staffing and resource usage in response to changing production demands.
• Monitor production metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to achieve KPI targets.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments and leading by example in safe working practices.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to build a flexible, multi-skilled workforce.
• Conduct regular team meetings, briefings, and 1:1s to communicate targets, capture feedback, and drive engagement.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and support process improvements.
• Lead and participate in CI/LEAN initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of output, attendance, and performance; prepare reports for senior leadership as required.
• Support the Coventry Site Manager in delivering wider operational goals and contribute to site-wide initiatives.

What we need from you:

• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory or team leadership role is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Demonstrable experience in driving process improvements, efficiency gains, and quality initiatives using LEAN methodologies or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor staff to develop multi-skilled teams.
