Job description

Production Engineer - CNC manufacturing. Interesting and varied opportunity to join this respected expanding subcontract precision engineering company. We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer with expertise in CNC machining and CAD/CAM programming to drive process optimisation and support production.


The role involves improving and organising production processes, programs and flow through the factory and offers stability with excellent career and personal growth opportunities.


Key Requirements:
  1. Proficient in SolidWorks
  2. Experienced in CNC Milling/Turning/Programming
  3. Strong problem-solving skills
  4. Computer literate
  5. Experience in a production or similar role (desired)
  6. HNC qualification (preferable)
  7. Exposure to Six Sigma training (ideal)

Responsibilities:
  1. Process optimisation and tooling procurement
  2. Full contract review before job release
  3. Support production with challenges
  4. Raise quotations
  5. Liaise with customers and update them on progress
  6. Oversee quote to delivery aspects of production
  7. Develop processes, design jigs and fixtures, create BOM, specify materials, and ensure paperwork trails are complete
