Job description

Production Engineer


Production Role Overview:
As a Production Engineer, you will provide engineering support and documentation to ensure manufacturing requirements are met. You'll convert customer requirements (parts lists, drawings) into usable formats for internal teams.


Production Engineer Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Experience in electronic assembly and understanding of technical drawings.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word; previous Engineering/Technician role is preferred.
  3. Mechanical assembly experience and knowledge of MRP Stock Control is advantageous.
  4. Continuous Improvement experience and recognised engineering qualifications (A Level, BTEC, or higher) are a plus.
  5. Liaise with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production & Quality teams to meet production targets.

Production Engineer Duties:

  1. Input and check Bills of Materials (BoMs).
  2. Plan, create, and update Assembly Aids (AA's).
  3. Ensure configuration control of documents and engineering packs.
  4. Implement design changes and report issues to internal teams.
  5. Support production analysis and process improvements.
  6. Provide Design For Manufacture (DFM) feedback to customers.
  7. Support QA activities and assist with labour estimates.

Production Engineer Key Skills:

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Detail-oriented, with the ability to solve problems independently.
  3. Motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
