Production Director

Based in Hull, East Yorkshire | £120,000-£140,000 + Benefits

Parkinson Lee Executive Search is working exclusively with Swift Group, the UK’s largest manufacturer of touring caravans, motorhomes, and holiday homes, in the appointment of a Production Director. This is a pivotal role, which will lead production across its state-of-the-art manufacturing operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Management Team, you’ll lead high-volume, complex manufacturing across three product areas:

• Motorhomes – Modern, high-quality vehicles

Working alongside Operational leads in Logistics, Engineering, and Product design, you’ll embed process discipline, drive performance, and lead transformational change, ensuring production, quality, and materials flow work seamlessly together.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead and inspire a workforce of over 500 across multiple production lines
• Drive operational transformation, embedding lean processes, controls, and accountability
• Champion quality excellence, driving a right first-time culture throughout operations
• Oversee ERP implementation (MS Dynamics 365) — ensuring it delivers real operational value
• Foster a high-performance culture, setting clear expectations and driving engagement

What We’re Looking For

• Proven track record in senior production leadership within high-volume, complex manufacturing
• Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, operational transformation & continuous improvement
• Experience driving cultural and operational change in a demanding environment
• Hands-on, energetic leadership style — able to balance strategic vision with day-to-day leadership
• Direct experience in ERP implementation, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Engineering or Manufacturing degree (MBA desirable)
