Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Production Controller on an initial 8-month contract. As the Production Controller, you will be managing the Project Manufacturing Plans within SAP & Primavera P6 for AIT Project's maintaining accurate SAP Master Data: including lead-times attrition Make/buy & Bill of Materials.

Role: Production Controller
Pay: 28 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Portsmouth
Contract: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week, 8 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS, UK Eyes only project

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to CPL21 Environment Health and Safety Policy Statement and evaluate the risks and continuously improve our EHS performance to prevent injury, ill health and pollution, by improving processes for the design, manufacture, assembly and procurement of supply of products, services and equipment.
  • Support as part of a multi-functional team any projects aimed at improving business performance and deal with any day-to-day issues as they arise.
  • Provide support to the Operational Business Areas to enable the financial man hours per set to be achieved.
  • Anticipate and respond to rate changes and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Support and enable Operational & Functional deliverables and acting with agility to any changes in production.
  • Support to ensure the Operating System (AOS) is deployed and in all relevant areas.
  • Build a strong interface with companies Procurement to ensure supplier performance risks are anticipated and mitigated to ensure impact to Operations is avoided.
  • Ensure strong interface with Logistic Service Provider (LSP) to ensure logistical processes are adhered to and non-adherences are dealt with accordingly.


Essential Skills

  • 3 Yrs Previous experience using an MRP/ERP system
  • 3 yrs Previous experience using SAP
  • Previous experience demonstrated in a high-pressure results driven environment i.e Aerospace / Defense / Communications / Manufacturing / Production/IT
  • 2 Yrs Previous experience in Planning & schedule management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results against schedule milestones to a high level of quality
  • Critical Path analysis and schedule control
  • Planning, organisation and prioritisation
  • Workload management
  • Clear & concise communication at all levels
