Job Title: Production Assistant

Reports to: Denise Austin, Director

Location: Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, Lytton Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 1LZ

Start Date: ASAP

If you have a passion for film production, a creative eye, and the ambition to grow within an innovative film production company, this role is perfect for you. At Pearldrop, you’ll be working with us to create impactful film content for the corporate, government and charity sectors, helping clients share their stories and achieve their goals through high-quality, engaging films.

On-location, you’ll be working with cameras, lighting, sound and grip equipment all over the UK and sometimes beyond. In the studio, you’ll be editing content, creating motion graphics and using the latest cutting-edge creative AI technology.

You’ll receive on-the-job training in all aspects of production and will be working with a dynamic, busy, fun and professional team. You’ll be creating high-quality and engaging content that clients are proud to share and that brings proven results.

Role includes:

  • On-shoot assistance – setting up of cameras (Blackmagic 6K Pro and Canon R5), lights and sound
  • Sound recording/operation of 2nd camera during shoot
  • Editing – Adobe Premiere Pro
  • After Effects production (already know AE? Great! Don’t know it yet? We’ll help you learn it!)
  • Ad hoc projects when required
  • General office support
  • Opportunities for creative input

You’ll have experience in:

  • Physical film production
  • Camera operation
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • After Effects (useful but not essential)
  • Wider Adobe Creative Suite

Pay: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Hertfordshire, SG1 1LZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Video production: 3 years (preferred)
  • Adobe Creative Suite: 3 years (preferred)
  • Adobe Premiere: 1 year (required)
