Salary: £25,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am til 3pm

First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production and Assembly Operative on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Oxford. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader, adopting good workmanship standards and paying particular attention to quality.
2. Assist in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.
3. Assist in the preparation and bonding of boats.
4. Assist in the cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded boats.
5. Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by your line supervisor.
6. Assist in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.
7. Assist in the training of other personnel, including new production operatives as required.
8. Maintain workstation in a clean and tidy state.
9. Operate in accordance with the company's Health and Safety procedure and other related company policies.
10. Carry out such tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. A good standard of general education.
2. Either qualified by experience (2 years plus) or Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years plus experience of working in a similar environment.
3. Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.
4. Can do attitude.
5. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
6. Problem solver.
7. Good communicator - able to understand and communicate instructions clearly and effectively.
8. Good attention to detail.
9. Highly organised and able to prioritise work.
10. Good work ethic.
11. Team Player.
