We are seeking a visionary and organised Product Owner to join our new Engineering Technologies Team, within our Airline Engineering team. This role is based within our busy Head Office (with hybrid working) at Leeds Bradford International Airport and is part of the overall Engineering Technologies & Predictive Analytics Team.
Reporting to the Engineering Technologies & Predictive Analytics Manager, the Engineering Technologies Product Owner will be responsible for defining and prioritising the product backlog for our engineering technology solutions.

What will you do in the role?As
Product Owner - Engineering Technologies, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of innovative digital products that enhance our engineering and maintenance operations. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
You will:- Define and prioritise the product roadmap for Engineering Technologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define features, and create detailed specifications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engineering technology products.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including product testing, rollout, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product updates effectively across the organisation.
- Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends to inform product strategy.
- Analyse product performance metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure that engineering technology solutions align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new tools and processes within the engineering department.
What are the key skills / experience you'll already have?We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills and experience in product management.
You will:
- Have a proven track record in product management, with experience in developing and launching digital and data products.
- Have experience with both Scrum and waterfall methodologies, with a preference for Agile practices.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Have a deep understanding of software development processes and best practices.
- Be familiar with project management tools and techniques.
- Have experience in creating and maintaining product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Possess knowledge of aerospace engineering principles and airline operations (preferred but not required).
- Be able to balance technical requirements with business needs and user experience considerations.
- Have a track record of successfully delivering complex technology products or solutions.
- Be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
