ABOUT ZENOBE

Our goal is to make clean power accessible, to accelerate the shift to zero carbon power and transport.

We’re building and operating the world’s most sophisticated battery systems to enable the uptake of more renewable power and accelerating fleet electrification, de-risking the transition to zero-emission transport at scale. We’ve been consistently innovative since we were founded in 2017, achieving major industry firsts and using proprietary software and data analysis to optimise operational performance for our customers. At the end of their life, we repurpose electric vehicle batteries to provide clean power at depots, on construction sites and film sets.

Today we have 730 MW of grid scale battery storage operational and under construction and are the largest owner and operator of EV buses in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, supporting over 1,000 electric vehicles worldwide. In our first five years we have raised nearly £1.8 billion in funding and have expanded into other markets such as the US. Our rapidly growing company is looking for highly talented and motivated people to join us.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Product Owner at Zenobē, you will play a critical role in driving the vision, strategy, and development of key products within our energy storage and electric mobility solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and business leaders, to ensure products are aligned with our strategic goals, meet customer needs, and are delivered on time.

A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company objectives
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring the engineering team is focused on delivering maximum value.
  • Gather, analyse, and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to deliver innovative energy solutions – happy to chair prioritisation meetings
  • Lead product development from ideation through launch, overseeing all stages of the product lifecycle – you will be KPI and Data led
  • Create and manage detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps - – you’ll have experience in 3 amigos and BDD
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features by removing blockers and coordinating with relevant departments
  • Monitor and report on product performance, leveraging data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product status and future plans
  • You will be data led and happy to derive KPIs for the team to deliver to…you will be driven by benefit realisation and continuous improvement
  • You will work with Customers to understand their needs on a ongoing basis – uniting with the Product manager to demo and gather feedback
  • You will have awareness of competitor and industry trends

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working with Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset, with experience in data-driven product development and decision-making.
  • A passion for innovation and sustainability, with a desire to shape the future of energy.

Minimum criteria to apply:

  • 2 years as a Product Owner
  • Experience in agile and leading a team

Preferred:

  • 2+ year minimum experience as a Product owner, working in an Agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent).
  • Experience in the renewable energy or electric vehicle industry is highly desirable.
