The Role:

This Government Agency is seeking a Product Owner to play an integral role in ensuring the delivery of significant platform upgrades including tools and operating environment.

The Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with key stakeholders to identify and develop service reform opportunities to improve services for Victorian citizens.
2. Analyse customer feedback and the overall performance of the product portfolio from a business, agency and client perspective to identify and prioritise enhancements to improve products and the experience for customers.
3. Support the portfolio planning process to ensure alignment and clarity on the short and mid-term direction of the product portfolio.
4. Work closely with all areas of the business, in particular business analysts, technical delivery and user experience staff to ensure scope, requirements and stories are clearly understood, documented and approved.
5. Manage and prioritise the product backlog.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. 5+ years' experience in product management or product ownership in a digital environment.
2. Demonstrated experience working in an Agile team and providing guidance and direction for the team.
3. Strong experience in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Scrum Master experience would also be an advantage.
4. Track record of proactive stakeholder engagement, potentially in a business development or similar function.
5. Public Sector experience is desirable.
