About the role

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team and help us make sure every school, multi-academy trust and local authority understands the value of Arbor and our suite as we grow through M&A. This is a new role in our Product Marketing team which will focus on product differentiation, sales enablement, and feature release for a product we’ve recently acquired.

Core responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the success of your product, with support from our Lead Product Marketing Manager.
  • Deeply understand the market and customer for your product, establishing yourself as an authority on these topics in the business.
  • Bring new features to market in your product - ensuring they’re successful for new business and customer teams alike.
  • Craft compelling, differentiated product-level positioning and key messages for your product and new feature releases in your area.
  • Co-own our library of sales enablement collateral which helps us improve our win rate.
  • Develop insight-driven customer personas and win themes for key roles in schools, MATs and LAs.

About you

  • Solid experience in Product Marketing, Content Management, Brand Marketing or Copywriting, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Brilliant, confident writer - you feel no qualms about putting pen to paper.
  • Fluent in English, with exceptional writing style - able to change tone of voice to match audience.
  • Fast learner, eager to get stuck into a big product and help us make it clear and concise to a variety of readers.
  • Excellent project management skills - can work on several projects at a time.
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally, often autonomously, with multiple stakeholders across the business.
  • Excited to work closely with Product Management and Sales - able to move fluidly between technical, commercial, and design.
  • Confidence to present and explain ideas to colleagues - must be resilient.
  • Strong aesthetic skills, with a keen eye for maximising the impact of collateral to build brand equity.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced scale-up on a mission to transform the way schools work!

Interview process

  1. Intro call: We’ll invite you to a 30 minute call with Ben, our Talent Acquisition Lead, to learn more about the role, ask questions, and tell us about you.
  2. First Stage Interview: If we think you’re a good fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a technical, skills based interview with Anna, our Lead Product Marketing Manager, and Natasha, our Product Marketing Manager. The interview will involve a writing task and a series of questions to help us understand your marketing experience and skill set. It should last 90 minutes, and will give you an opportunity to meet with other people in the Marketing Team too.
  3. Second Stage Interview: Finally, we’ll invite you to a Values based interview with Harriet, our CMO, and Anna again. We’ll ask you to complete a task at home ahead of time, then ask you to present it in this session. We’ll also ask you questions based on our company values. This final interview lasts 60 minutes, and there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions throughout the process.
