As these are hybrid roles, you may be required to work on a client site for a day from time to time (Manchester, Bristol, London) for client workshops and events. In the longer term there may be a requirement for on-site work to increase but the majority of work will still be remote. All applicants must also hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Product Manager you'll be joining a team working on a major new engagement within our Central Government business unit. You'll be responsible for shaping the product mission and vision. You'll be responsible for the quality of the products we develop and have ownership of the problem space, ensuring that the products being developed are aligned to meet user needs. You will work closely with our clients and be responsible for working with a Digital delivery team at all stages of the development lifecycle from discovery through to a live service. As Product Manager you will be the champion of your product and will need to be able to clearly articulate its goals, purpose and how its success will be measured. You'll be working closely with both the client and our delivery team to deliver our products and promote their uptake. Our Product Managers need to ensure that the users are at the heart of product development.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

1. Practical understanding of UK Government Service standards
2. Passion for building products that meet both user and business needs
3. Experience applying tools, terms, and concepts flexibly in various contexts
4. Ability to adapt to change and explore new ways of working
5. Proficiency in agile methodologies, including selecting and comparing processes or delivery methods and evaluating outcomes
6. Understanding of product lifecycle management, including transitioning between lifecycle stages
7. Experience delivering products or services at different lifecycle phases
8. Proven collaboration with user researchers, with an ability to distinguish between user needs and desires
