Job description

Waterhouse-Kern Associates are delighted to be working with a wonderful Building Society to find a Product Manager. You must have finance experience within products, specifically savings or mortgages.

This key role will redefine the future of their product range. The New Product Development Manager will lead the product innovation roadmap, owning all aspects of new product development and ensuring they deliver growth for the business.

Key Duties

1. Lead the development of an effective product and channel strategy, meeting the goals of the business strategy and customer need.
2. Identify emerging opportunities where existing or new products could add value and transform them into actionable strategies.
3. Bring identified opportunities to market, from gaining internal approval to working with internal and external stakeholders to get the initiatives live.
4. Network with key stakeholders (colleagues, customers, industry bodies etc.) to bring insight and value to product developments as well as identify potential target customers.
5. Act as the voice of the customer within the business both commercially and technically, engaging with, interpreting, and understanding customer needs, particularly throughout new product development process.

Key Skills

1. Experience of working in a product management or retail savings role within a financial services environment.
2. Evidence of collating market information, summarising and writing reports to support product developments.
3. Effective collaboration with a proven ability to work across different business units ensuring products and related processes deliver an exceptional customer experience.
4. Ability to plan workloads and resources effectively and in line with deadlines.
5. Ability to identify opportunities, and proposition development.
6. Able to prioritise opportunities, challenges and tasks to achieve successful outcomes.
7. Highly self-disciplined and proactive person who can deliver quality output to an agreed timeline.
