The Role

As a Product Developer working in a small team, you will be hands-on with involvement in all aspects of the development process. Your responsibilities will encompass market research, the successful creation and launch of high-quality products that meet consumer demands whilst aligning with market trends.

The brand has their own manufacturing facility but also works in collaboration with third-party manufacturers. Managing this relationship will be key, as you’ll seek out the highest quality ingredients and innovative solutions to enhance product excellence. By conducting rigorous testing and evaluations, you'll ensure that every product meets high standards for taste, nutrition, and shelf-life. In addition, you'll develop comprehensive product specifications and coordinate product trials, both in-house and with external partners.

Your keen awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies will support your drive for launching delicious and successful products. You will also strive for continuous improvement, making you instrumental in supporting production post-launch.

The Person

This role is perfect for a Food Science / Technology graduate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about bringing unique food products to market. You will already have hands-on experience developing brand or own label products and a keen interest in all things nutrition. You will have a can-do approach and project management skills along with a passion for food and keeping up with the latest food trends. Experience in chilled food manufacturing is preferred, but candidates from other areas of the food industry will also be considered.
