This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Industrial/Product Designer to join an intimately sized Medical Device business dedicated to advancing women's health through cutting-edge technology. This innovative organisation specialises in designing and developing medical devices that enhance the understanding and management of women's health conditions.
Due to the size and scale of the business, this will be a pivotal and extremely hands-on role where you may be required to wear many hats. You will help shape the creative vision and design strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of the design process from concept to production. Working closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centred, innovative, and compliant products. Developing new concepts, working on CAD, and bringing creative flair as well as technical experience in design for manufacture.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders will be essential to refine designs and drive product enhancements. Additionally, you will oversee project timelines and manage documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards. Mentoring other Engineers within the design team and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment will also be a crucial part of your role.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in product design and development within the medical device industry, and a strong portfolio of user-centred solutions, is essential.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Advanced proficiency in design software such as CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools is necessary. A thorough understanding of quality system standards, regulations, and risk management is also important.
