Acorn is seeking a talented Mid-weight to Senior Product Designer to join us in a period of exciting growth and digital transformation, enabling us to transform customer journeys in the insurance market.
As a Product Designer at Acorn, you will have the opportunity to manage the end-to-end design process in a cross-functional team, either by launching new products or enhancing existing features across web and app platforms.
You will collaborate with product managers, business analysts, engineers, and various other stakeholders to explore and resolve customer issues and design challenges using simple and effective solutions. The Digital team embraces a collaborative culture in which ideas are freely shared, and team members are empowered to experiment, innovate and grow together, always supporting constructive feedback.

Location: Liverpool City Centre on a hybrid model
Working hours: 37.5 Hour per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE
What you will be doing:
- Design and prototype simple, low friction digital experiences
- Own all stages of the design process from concept to launch
- Create UI assets and collaborate towards a robust design system that works across brands
- Solve customer problems with a focus on the best experience while balancing business goals
- Conduct user research and user testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience
- Test multiple designs to iterate to the right solution as evidenced by the data collected
- Perform design audits and propose improvements to ensure quality and consistency across brands and product lines.
- Work autonomously as part of a small team of Product Designers
- Build a deep understanding of user needs and business objectives in our specialist market
What we are looking for:- 4+ years experience designing digital products; experience in Insurtech or regulated industries would be a strong plus
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing end-to-end for both web and mobile platforms
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and ability to drive user research findings into actionable insights
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record of leading discovery workshops, ideation sessions, and translating insights into impactful design solutions.
- Previous experience working with design systems
- Experience shipping mobile and desktop products in an agile environment working independently
- Experience working with Figma
- Strong commitment to doing what is right for the customer and the company
