International tax is a rigged system where giant corporations funnel billions into the Big Four, offloading the burden onto smaller businesses.

Global SMEs face overpayments and fines because they lack the expertise to grok complex tax rules - the Big Four and other advisors profit from this chaos.

Caribou is a tax platform designed to make international tax accessible to every global business. We’re fixing Transfer Pricing first, where one million businesses are in need, but only ten thousand experts exist.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to build our Design team from the ground up. This role is perfect for someone with a strong customer focus, a passion for simple experiences, and a drive to learn and improve our product.

You’re a clear communicator who thinks from first principles and enjoys working in new and creative ways. You value speed, accuracy, and meaningful impact, and you’ve made significant contributions in your previous roles. You’re confident working independently but know when to collaborate to keep projects moving.

In this role, you will

• Research - propose, discuss and deliver research. We work with existing and potential customers.
• Prioritisation - interpret research, discuss product strategy
• Ideation - work on whiteboards, sketch multiple solutions, agree the best way forward with others.
• Design - convert low-fidelity sketches into polished prototypes that you’re proud to share.
• Validation - host user testing sessions to check for usability and delight (iterating as needed).
• Collaboration - refine design processes, improve tooling, develop core design principles and share assets.
• Content creation - export assets to support Engineers and produce content that excites our community.

Requirements for the role

• Minimum 2 years experience conducting research (beyond user testing)
• Minimum 2 years experience designing successful products
• A strong portfolio that showcases the impact of your best work
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
• Experience working closely with engineers
• Excellent communication skills
