Job description

Product Coordinator

Mike Burton - Destination Sport Group

This is a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office, you must live within a commutable distance.

As part of Destination Sport Group (“DSG”), Mike Burton creates and delivers major brand, customer, and revenue-focused ticketing and travel programmes around the globe, working in direct partnership with organisations that include the British & Irish Lions and England Rugby. https://mikeburton.com/

As part of the Product team, our new Product Coordinator will assist with the creation, costing, and building of product while working with the wider business to monitor stock levels and to gather information and appropriate package elements to develop innovative products.

No two days are the same in this exciting role but on a typical day you will:

  1. Work collaboratively with the organisation’s travel, accommodation, events, and customer service departments to design market-leading and customer-focused experiential travel itineraries that are relevant and appealing to the customer.
  2. Assist building, testing, and refining new and existing products to ensure each product offering is on brand and promotes the correct messaging and inclusions.
  3. Assist with the collation of all costs and services from the internal departments for the product range.
  4. Deliver a wide range of products that sit within the roadmap that has been agreed with the Product Manager and the wider business, ensuring that all products are made available for launch and are on-sale on agreed dates.
  5. Ensure regular and timely monitoring of sales figures in line with product availability and requirements for bespoke, new, and additional product in line with demand.
  6. Work with the data and insight team for market intelligence and customer insights.
  7. Constantly strive to create and develop sales-focused and relevant product that matches customer demand and is innovative and progressive, where relevant, within the applicable product sector.
  8. Have a constant and detailed understanding and assessment of the competition and the travel industry to ensure the organisation’s product is at the forefront of relevant market factors, including price, inclusions, structure, and innovation.
  9. Continually work closely with the sales, marketing, and customer services teams to have a swift and informed knowledge of customer feedback as and when events happen.

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will:

  1. Have experience within a product role would be highly desirable but not essential.
  2. Previous working experience within the sport travel industry is highly desirable.
  3. Demonstrate a passion for product, sport, and travel with the desire to keep up to date with trends and developments within the industry.
  4. Be a flexible and operationally focused individual with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  5. Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  6. Be able to communicate to various stakeholders across the business in various teams and departments at all levels of seniority.
  7. Demonstrate high levels of organisation and administration skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
  8. Think logically and consider all relevant aspects with strong analytical skills.
  9. Be computer literate with strong experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Be a team player with the ability to work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives.
  11. Have a willingness to embark on occasional domestic and international travel for work purposes including site visits and assisting the wider operations team.
