About the role

As Product Assistant for the UK's No. 1 Health & Beauty Brand; Boots, you'll play a critical role in supporting the own brand product team in the development and delivery of the entire Beauty & General Merchandise product pipeline in the UK. You will coordinate the product set up and sharing of our brand assets, such as product photography. You will provide administrative support to the team, you'll be the key coordination point for all stakeholders, and you'll build strong relationships across the business and our retailer partner, ensuring proactive support and clear communication. Your ability to manage multiple workstreams at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within our matrix organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • You'll report to a Product Manager in the Beauty & General Merchandising Team but work closely with the entire team of 12 Product colleagues.
  • You'll be accountable for ensuring each new product is set up correctly on our systems, working cross functionally with your colleagues, suppliers, and our retailer to ensure item codes are generated, keeping stakeholders engaged and updated along the way.
  • You'll manage our cost budget administration, including raising and receipting POs, tracking invoices, and keeping the monthly tracker up to date.
  • You'll be responsible for the coordination and development of our product assets - such as photography and lifestyle imagery - working with the team to write briefs, collect samples and assist photoshoots. You'll also work with our marketing team and agencies on the edits and manage our asset library once the photography is complete.
  • You'll provide administrative support to the product team, being the go-to coordinator for all things from samples to sales reports, to travel and team building days!
  • You'll stay on top of category trends and opportunities across product and packaging in the market. You'll carry out quarterly store visits and competitor reviews both in store and online, acting as the eyes of the team to monitor and share back how our products show up on and what we can learn from competitor activity.

What you'll need to have

  • You'll have a keen eye for detail, ensuring high executional standards in everything you do.
  • Organisation is key, you're good at managing your time and can juggle multiple tasks and workstreams in order to meet deadlines, thriving on fast delivery.
  • You're articulate with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You have experience working closely with cross functional teams to achieve a common goal.
  • You're competent using Microsoft office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • You're able to manage multiple stakeholders.
