Procurement Manager

£450 to £550 a day DOE

Manchester (Hybrid)

Interim Procurement Manager exciting opportunity for a six-month temporary assignment with a Public Sector client in Manchester.

As an Interim Procurement Manager, working to the Head of Procurement, you will use your existing skills to drive forward an evolving procurement team:

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Procurement in managing the Strategic Procurement activity of the organisation.
• Provide specialist procurement advice and guidance to senior officers and members as required, including advice on market intelligence and options appraisal.
• Develop and take the lead on implementing appropriate performance standards and measures for procurement activities across the Council to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Recent Public Sector experience essential.
• Proven ability to lead on end-to-end Procurement process across a range of categories.
• Excellent communication skills.
