The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead purchasing activities for raw and indirect materials and plant maintenance stores.
  2. Implement MRO strategies to reduce vendor numbers and enhance supplier integration.
  3. Collaborate with production operations to manage warehouse or production changes affecting supply chain processes.
  4. Ensure supplier compliance with corporate procedures through regular audits.
  5. Provide quarterly material forecasts and update Finance on price changes affecting Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
  6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives.
  7. Manage compliance with relevant regulations and support Finance with audit requests.

Ideal Profile

  1. Relevant professional qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent are desirable.
  2. Extensive experience in supply chain management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage multi-disciplined teams.
  4. Proficient in supplier and customer relationship management.
  5. Skilled in business analysis, process improvement, and organizational transformation.
  6. Strong working knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
