Procurement Project Manager

Are you an experienced, diligent, and highly focused Procurement professional?

We are looking for two Procurement Project Managers who have strong Public Sector experience, to advise and support Category Teams on procurement strategy. Leading all aspects of the procurement process, following NHS SBS’s governance process and timescales, and maintaining regular communication with all interested parties. As a Procurement Project Manager at NHS SBS, you will be responsible for leading the procurement projects undertaken on behalf of one or more Category Teams, specifically IT & Digital and Healthcare.

This is a Hybrid Variable role and you will work from home mostly, but will be required to travel to our North West Hub in Salford 3-4 times per month, and occasionally our Leeds office.

What you'll be doing:

1. Prepare ITT documentation and bidder communications which align with the Procurement Act 2023.
   
2. Work alongside our Compliance and Quality Assurance Team, Legal Team, and Sourcing Team to obtain approval at key achievements.
   
3. Apply a robust, diligent, and consistent approach to all procurement activities to optimise quality at all times.
   
4. Communicate the procurement programme ensuring all activities are completed when required and all parties are aware of their responsibilities.
   
5. Liaise with the Programme Management Office to acquire approval for relevant changes.
   
6. Lead or support the Project Initiation Meeting and Project Closedown Meeting and help navigate the procurement.
   
7. Work collaboratively with the Category Team to make sure the procurement documentation reflects their requirements and those communicated during the NHS SBS gateway process.

4. To challenge in a positive but robust manner to drive an improvement in quality and continuous improvements.
   
5. CIPS Level 5 and MCIPS qualified or is working towards Level 6.
   

It would be great if you had:

1. Experience of electronic procurement tools and processes.
   
2. Solid understanding of the Procurement Act 2023.

Salary: £40,000-£50,000
