Procurement & Planning Executive

Location: Welwyn Garden City (3/4 days per week)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a background in FMCG and a passion for food manufacturing? We're looking for a Procurement & Planning Executive to join a food manufacturing business in Welwyn Garden City. You will take ownership of sourcing, supplier management, and demand planning for their UK based manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source and manage suppliers for raw materials, ensuring competitive costs and quality compliance.
2. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and driving performance.
3. Manage production and demand planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
4. Monitor and control costs, ensuring procurement inflation remains within agreed targets.
5. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure product availability and efficient supply chain operations.
6. Ensure supplier compliance with agreed performance metrics and take corrective action where needed.

What We're Looking For:

1. At least 3 years' experience in FMCG procurement or supply chain, ideally in food manufacturing.
2. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP experience is an advantage.
5. CIPS qualification (or working towards) is a plus.
