Were working with a London Borough who are keen to hire an experienced Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager as follows:
- Based in Merton (Surrey) with flexible / hybrid working
- Leading the full procurement lifecycle for works and services contracts, including planning, tendering, evaluation, contract award, and contract management.
- Negotiating terms and conditions, draft contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure service delivery and works execution align with contractual obligations.
- Applying UK public procurement regulations and processes.
- Collaborating with teams and stakeholders for efficient project delivery.
Suitable Procurement Officer Applicants Will Have
- Significant procurement experience within the public sector
- In-depth knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) and local government procurement rules.
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, MCIPS) or a desire to work towards such in post
- Experience with tender preparation and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
