Job Overview:

The Procurement Manager will report to the Procurement Director and support strategic sourcing, purchasing, and overall management of procurement processes. Working closely with a dynamic team in London, the role will have a startup feel with huge financial backing from the parent construction company, contributing to the development of new projects from the ground up. This includes supplier relationship management, cost optimisation, quality assurance, and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy and Planning:
    • Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality suppliers.
    • Collaborate with other departments to assess and forecast procurement needs.
  2. Supplier Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
    • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
    • Conduct regular supplier audits to assess reliability and performance.
  3. Contract Negotiation:
    • Support contract negotiations with suppliers.
    • Review supplier agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders (legal, HSE, technical).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Strong experience in procurement within the renewable sector (Solar, Wind, and/or BESS), with a demonstrated ability to manage complex purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
